On this International Day of the Girl and our 10th Anniversary, I am excited to announce a major milestone for Girls on Fire Leaders. We are strengthening our partnership with Strathmore University in Nairobi, enabling us to impact significantly more underserved girls and women across Kenya.
This isn’t just a new chapter—it’s a transformative leap forward. This partnership merges our proven curriculum and leadership model with Strathmore’s local expertise, established community outreach programs, and extensive alumni network. Together, we will provide enhanced mentorship, education, and leadership training, addressing key challenges like intergenerational poverty, gender-based violence, mental health, and community transformation.
This collaboration embodies our united vision: to transform empowered girls into influential women who inspire and uplift others. Strathmore University’s network will offer mentorship and career opportunities that have been previously inaccessible. We are not just getting girls into schools; we are equipping them with the tools, service experiences and role models needed to break the cycle of poverty and step into leadership roles. Together, we are building a sustainable future led by the very girls whose voices will shape Kenya’s next chapter.
